Hi, I’m Ellie. Welcome to my new blog Ellie smells.
A little bit about me. As long as I can remember I have been both fascinated and passionate about fragrance, maybe it was from crushing the sweet rose petals with water as a small child. Who knows? But from there my lifelong passion began.
The sense of smell is amazing in that it has the power to evoke special memories of a time, a place, a person or occassion. Some of my memories of fragrance were of my grandmother who wore Apple Blossom by Helena Rubenstein. Also, my lovely mum who wore In love by Norman Hartnell and Blue Grass by Elizabeth Arden ( she has since moved on to Si by Giorgio Amani which she loves, Angel by Mugler though she’s not that keen and her favourite Narciso Rodriguez for Her).
One of my first fragrances was Pretty Peach by Avon when I must have been about seven years old I think, however, my fragrance taste has advanced somewhat since then!
I have always loved fragrances created by some of the older fragrance houses. Such as Guerlain, Houbigant, Rochas and Creed. All of these fragrance houses have created perfumes for Royalty and Hollywood icons both past and present.
I feel every fragrance has the ability to take you on a journey and I would like to share mine with you.
I hope you enjoyed my blog, please visit and subscribe to my youtube channel and I look forward to reading any questions or comments you might have.
Bye for now.
